
Mono Printing:



You will need:
+ A Pencil
+ Paper of any size or colour
+ A plastic tile
+ Printing Ink - any colour
+ Roller
If you do not have
printing ink you can use paint instead.
Step-by-step Guide:
Method 1:
1) Collect the equipment listed in the 'you will need' box.
2) Coat your plastic tile with a layer
of printing ink, make sure it is all
coated, but not too thick.
3) Gently place a sheet of paper on top
of the ink, do not press it down otherwise
a smudge of ink will appear.
4) Using the point of your pencil,
carefully draw a design onto the
back of the paper.
5) Gently pull the paper away from the inked tile to reveal your print design.
TOP TIP:
WHEN DRAWING MAKE SURE THAT YOUR DO NOT PRESS YOUR HAND DOWN ONTO THE PAPER OTHERWISE IT WILL SMUDGE.





Method 2:
1) Collect the equipment listed in the 'you will need' box.
2) Coat your plastic tile with printing ink, make sure it is all coated but not too thick.
3) Using a pencil, scratch
a design into the ink
revealing some of the tile.
4) Gently place a
piece of paper on top of
the ink design and press down.
- Make sure you do not press too
hard otherwise the design will not show.
5) Peel the paper away from the tile revealing the design.
TOP TIP:
REMEMBER WHEN CREATING YOUR DESIGN THAT THE PIECES YOU SKETCH WITH YOUR PENCIL WILL APPEAR IN YOUR PRINT AND THE REMAINING AREAS WILL BE INKED.
