You can use paint if you do not have printing inks.

Step-by-step Guide:

Part 1 - Creating your stamp:

1) Collect the equipment listed in the 'you will need' box.

2) Lightly sketch out your design onto the foam tile.

3) Then using your pencil, indent the foam to make a shape, following the lines from your sketch

- Make sure you press hard enough for the print to show but don't press too hard otherwise you will create a hole in the foam.

TOP TIP:
ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THE ENGRAVED PART OF THE FOAM ARE THE LINES THAT WILL SHOW, THE REMAINING PARTS OF THE STAMP WILL APPEAR INK COLOURED!
Part 2 - Printing:

1) Collect the equipment listed in the 'you will need' part 2 box.

2) Coat your roller in printing ink making sure there is not too much or too little ink on it.

3) Gently roll the ink onto your stamp making sure that everything is coated.

4) Flip your stamp onto the
piece of paper and press
down on the back firmly.

- You may want to use
another roller to do this.

5) Lift your stamp and the print should appear on your page.
TOP TIP:
ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT YOUR DESIGN WILL BE BACKWARDS WHEN YOUR PRINT YOUR DESIGN AS YOU FLIP THE CARD!
WHY NOT TRY:
- Using different coloured paper to print onto e.g. Black paper and white ink.

- Using different colours to create your print as shown in the picture and video.

- Covering one half of your print in one colour and the other half in another colour.

- Creating a range of different stamps and use them together.
.
For a challenge:

6) You can then edit
your stamp
using your pencil to
add more details.

- You may want to cut
pieces out of
the foam to create
some different shapes.

7) Using a different colour ink, re-coat the stamp and re-print it directly on top of your original print.

8) This should create a picture that has two different colours, like the example below.
