Bubble Printing:

You will need:

​

+ Plastic Cups

​

+ Straws

​

+ Paint - any colour 

​

+ Washing up liquid

​

+ Water

​

+ Paper - any size or colour

​

​

​

Step-by-step Guide:

​

1) Collect the equipment listed in the 'you will need' box.

​

2) Put a small amount of washing up liquid into the bottom of the plastic cup or container.

​

3) Add a large amount of paint to the cup of washing liquid to make sure the colour is bright enough on the paper. 

​

4) Also add a small amount of water and stir together to create a coloured liquid.

​

5) Put a straw into the mixture and blow until bubbles are created, stop when they reach the top of the cup.

​

- Warning: Make sure you do not suck on the straw!

​

6) Place a piece of paper carefully over the top of the bubbles creating a print .

​

7) Repeat this process to create more bubble prints using different colours.

​

TOP TIP:

REMEMBER YOU CAN CREATE AS MANY DIFFERENT COLOURS AS YOU WOULD LIKE BUT PUT THEM INTO SEPERATE CUPS SO THEY DO NOT MIX!

Alternative way to create a bubble effect:

You can also create a bubble effect through printing using bubble wrap.

You will need:

​

+ Bubble Wrap         + Paint - any colour 

​

+ Paper - any size or colour    + A paintbrush

Step 1: Get a small amount of bubble wrap and use a paintbrush to cover it in a generous layer of paint.

Step 2: Place the painted side down onto the paper and press firmly. Peel it off to reveal your bubble print.

Step 3: You can then add as many layers of paint as you want to create a print featuring different colours, repeating the process.
